        齒輪泵是機器潤滑、供油或其它液體系統(tǒng)中的一個部件,液壓泵的一種。屬旋轉式。齒輪箱內有2個或2個以上的齒輪嚙合,在旋轉作用下從一側吸入流體再向另一側排出。其振動及噪聲比螺桿泵稍大,可作為螺桿泵代用型式。其作用是使油或其它流體介質具一定的壓力和流量及流向。


        齒輪泵也叫正排量裝置,正排量泵,即像一個缸筒內的活塞,當一個齒進入另一個齒的流體空間時,液體就被機械性地擠排出來。因為液體是不可壓縮的,所以液體和齒就不能在同一時間占據(jù)同一空間,這樣,液體就被排除了。由于齒的不斷嚙合,這一現(xiàn)象就連續(xù)在發(fā)生,因而也就在泵的出口提供了一個連續(xù)排除量,每轉一轉,排出的量是一樣的。隨著驅動軸的不間斷地旋轉,也就不間斷地排出流體。齒輪泵的流量直接與轉速有關。齒輪泵是依靠泵缸與嚙合齒輪間所形成的工作容積變化和移動來輸送液體或使之增壓的回轉泵。由兩個齒輪、泵體與前后蓋組成兩個封閉空間,當齒輪轉動時,齒輪脫開側的空間的體積從小變大,形成真空,將液體吸入,齒輪嚙合側的空間的體積從大變小,而將液體擠入管路中去。吸入腔與排出腔是靠兩個齒輪的嚙合線來隔開的。齒輪泵的排出口的壓力完全取決于泵出口處阻力的大小。
